Museum of Northern History Staff is happy to assist with a variety of research requests. Areas of focus may include people, places or events in Kirkland Lake and the surrounding area’s history.

We have a wide range of research materials which are accessible to the public, such as:

  • photographs

  • negatives

  • research files

  • books

  • phone directories

  • mining ledgers and reports

  • hotel registers

  • plus much more

Research & Printing Fees

Research Fee per ½ hour (first ½ hour is free) — $20

Digital Reproductions(Offsite) — $10

Digital Reproductions(Onsite) — $5

Digital Reproductions (Email/USB) — $5

Print on Photo Paper — $2.50

Photocopies

Black & White (without rental) — $0.25/copy

Black & White (with rental) — $0.20/copy

Colour (without rental) — $0.45/copy

Colour (with rental) — $0.35/copy
